 he minerals in this section come from either the Klein Spitzkoppe or The Erongo Mountains, south-east of the Brandberg. We have grouped them together, as both mountains form part of the Erongo Region in Namibia.
This region has an amazing diversity of minerals, some of them quite unique and destinctive to the area. Black Tourmaline (Schorl), Aquamarine, Smokey Quartz, Topaz and Hylite are among the more common. These examples each have their own specimen category.
Sometimes the minerals occur as combinations; for example Tourmalinated Quartz, or Aquamarine featuring Tourmaline inclusions. Most of these combinations of minerals are featured under the "Other" section on this page.
