 he Smokey Quartz featured in this section comes from either the Klein Spitzkoppe or The Erongo Mountains, south-east of the Brandberg. Although both of these areas are producing lovely Smokey Quartz specimens, they are quite recognizable as being from different locations.
The Smokey Quartz from The Erongo Mountains occasionally occurs with other minerals. For example; Black Tourmaline (Schorl), which can be either associated with the Quartz, or included in it, Feldspar, Hylite and Aquamarine.
The only associated mineral occurring with the Smokey Quartz from the Klein Spitzkoppe, is Topaz.
Although most of these combinations will be found under the "other" section of this location, there are a few which are included on this page.
