 he Aquamarine on this page all comes from The Erongo Mountains in Namibia, south-east of the Brandberg.
This region has produced some very good quality Aquamarine in the past. Unfortunately, the mining has slowed down, due to the difficulty in accessing the veins, which are high up on rather sheer rock faces. General access to the area has also been limited. While there is still some mining activity, there has been a definite decline in the quantity of Aquamarine produced. We have been collecting Erongo Aquamarines for a number of years, so have a rather large stock of good quality specimens.
Black Tourmaline (Schorl), Smokey Quartz and Hylite are also found in this area. They occasionally occur with the Aquamarine, sometimes as inclusions.
