his now defunct Copper mine lies in northern Namibia. It has produced some 242 identified, and 38 unidentified minerals. Some of the minerals, or combinations thereof, have not been found anywhere else in the world.
We have some stunning specimens of Azurite, Calcite, Dioptase, Malachite, Smithsonite and Cerussite, to name but a few.
This section also includes minerals from the Berg Aukas Mine, near Tsumeb. This mine is famous for it's Smithsonite, Descloizite and Willemite specimens.
There has recently been some activity at Tsumeb, with an English company pumping water from the main mine shaft. Perhaps, in the not too distant future, there will again be interesting specimens coming out of this mineral-rich mine.
