 he diversity of the Calcite specimens from the Tsumeb Mine is unbelievable. There are a wide variety of crystal habits, colours, and secondary mineral associations. Many of the Calcite specimens have inclusions of these secondary minerals.
Although Calcite is a relatively common mineral, the Tsumeb Calcites are sought-after for their diversity.
Associated minerals include Azurite, Malachite, Dolomite, Mottramite, Dioptase, Duftite and Cuprite, to name but a few.
