here are two basic forms which this secondary Copper ore adopts. Both the botryoidal, and the velvet-like fibrous forms have been found at Tsumeb.
Malachite does not often form it's own crystals, but has been found coating other minerals. For example; Malachite coated Cuprite crystals and Cerussite crystals.
Malachite is also known to replace other minerals. These are known as pseudomorphs. Malachite after Azurite is one of the more common of these pseudomorphs.
Some of the other associated minerals are Mimetite, Calcite, Dolomite and Dioptase.
